This is a book is great for beginners.It is written by Nicholas Proferes who'se been teaching film directing for over 25 years at the Film Division in Columbia's university's School of the arts. The great advantage of hearing him is that he has been working in many roles in the industry, director, editor, cameraman and producer, so he has the ability to see the big picture. The book uses a lot of diagrams and illustrations to make a clear point and it is written in a fun and intresting way. You will probebly read this book again and again before every film you'll shoot.
